"Erez delivers a sparkling and glittering firework of guitars, which allows associations to the acoustic works of master guitarists such as Al di Meola or Paco de Lucia..." er-em-online (German Music Magazine)

As a performer and composer, Itamar's music blends the delicateness of Middle Eastern music, the freedom found in jazz and the passion of flamenco, creating a unique sound all his own. Recipient of the 2014 ACUM Prize for Special Achievement in Jazz and the prestigious 2014 Landau Prize, Itamar Erez is an internationally renowned composer and guitarist who has shared the stage with such musicians as Omar Faruk Tekbilek, Tomatito, Avishai Cohen, Jean-Louis Matinier, Zohar Fresco, and others.

Itamar performs internationally and gives workshops and masterclasses, teaching his unique approach to music and guitar playing. In recent years, Itamar has performed in Canada, USA, Israel, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, Austria, Cyprus, Israel, India, Tunisia, Hungary, Colombia & Surinam. Itamar's passion is bringing the joy of making music to each and every student. Whether you are a beginner who's interested in learning the basics of guitar/piano playing, or you have been playing for years but feel that you are missing something, or perhaps you just lack the extra inspiration to continue on your musical path, Itamar is a patient and passionate teacher who is there to support your journey. Itamar has a deep understanding of the classical tradition, as well as the flamenco, latin and jazz worlds.

Itamar 's passion is to get students excited about playing music! He strives to give the student a sense of success from the very first lesson. He has a unique way of teaching the basics of theory and harmony to his students without it being too complicated and dry, but on the contrary, experiencing each concept on the keys or the guitar. On both guitar and piano, Itamar works within the classical tradition and technique and has deep respect for the tradition. At the same time, he is constantly learning about his students and what kind of music they love, so a lesson would typically include some technique, repertoire and music that the students is excited about! A good balance between what the student needs to learn, and what they love to play, is very important!

Itamar currently teaches at the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra's School of Music in Vancouver, (Canada), as well as privately from his own studio and online. Itamar has 30 years of teaching experience- both privately and in various music schools internationally. He gave masterclasses and has performed in concert halls all over the world with different projects and ensembles.
