Violin with Ruthanne Neveu

Students will learn essentials of the instrument they choose to play along with how to collaborate, listen, and constructively recommend improvements to one another. 

ABOUT RUTHANNE NEVEU

I am a musician of many talents who is passionate about playing the viola and violin, and enjoys performing in chamber ensembles such as string quartets where I can collaborate with other musicians. Sharing my love and knowledge of music with others is one of my many talents. With over 10 years of teaching experience, enthusiasm continues to shine through in my lessons.

I began my music study at the age of 5 with the piano and branched out to stringed viol instruments at age 7. I have studied and practiced the viola under master musicians from San Jacinto College and the University of Texas at Brownsville, where I remained principal violist at both institutions throughout my academic studies and degrees earned. I received student spotlight and full scholarships to both institutions and have great advice and experience with auditions!"

Ruthanne is always so patient and encouraging with my daughter. She finds the perfect balance between pushing my daughter on areas where she can improve, while also making sure to be supportive and positive with her critiques. We couldn't love her more!
