About Felted Cords
A wonderfully, interactive felting activity encompassing ALL ages from Kindergarten to Senior and everybody else in between (as they can be worn as very attractive Fashion adornments...and keep your wrists warm). Multiple family members are welcome to share in the class as long as they are using the same tablet or computer. Parents of children age 7 and under must supervise the child during class.
This Fiber Arts Seminar is offered as part of the 2021 Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival and is limited to 15 students. The deadline to register for this class is April 15th, 2021.
Class Materials Needed
All needed class materials that the student doesn't already have on hand will be provided. The instructor will email students to make the necessary arrangements.
Ages 5 to Adult
Single session on Sunday, May 2, at 12 pm ET | 9 am PT | 16:00 UTC.
Enrolled students receive 30-day access to the video recordings of the class.
How It Works
Participants under age 16 need to be enrolled by their parent or guardian. Students can connect to the online platform using a tablet or computer with reliable internet. To actively participate online students also need a webcam with microphone. The class is covered by the Lessonface Guarantee.

Renate Maile-Moskowitz’s artistic background is multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary, versatile, and crosses many boundaries. German born, raised and self-trained in just about every textile tradition, the nearly forgotten techniques of felt making and silk/ sericulture production became an early research and teaching pursuit.
