About
A graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music, Kerry teaches jazz piano techniques for all levels. She encourages students to "jump in" to improvising with tools they can apply immediately. Kerry currently teaches at Portland State University and the University of Portland. She has given clinics at the University of Kansas, Boise State University, the Oregon Jazz Workshop, and the Multnomah County Library system, and also taught jazz piano for non-majors at the University of Manitoba.

Kerry uses her own teaching methods, but often recommends excellent jazz pedagogy books by Bill Dobbins, Gary Lindsay, Rebecca Cline, and others.
