I'm a Brazilian based pianist and teacher. I've been teaching for at least 15 years now.
I started to learn the piano at church and then went to Villa Lobos Conservatory of Music. There, I graduated in Arranging & Composition and continued my studies in reading and history of music.
I also studied harmony and improvisation in CIGAM music school. Later I also studied more piano and harmony in Berklee School of Music.
Since the beginning, I've been in contact and studied the role of the piano in all types of popular music. Especially in Brazilian rhythms like samba, baião and etc.
I try to always be direct and effective towards the student's needs. My approach is to learn about the student's interests and work from there.
In our classes we'll cover topics like harmony, rhythm, your repertoire and technique.
All theses topics can be aplied in the context of brazilian and latin music.
