Welcome to Lessonface! I'm the Community and Marketing Manager for the platform. I love speaking with music educators and helping connect students and teachers as well as posting to our social media pages and blog. My love for music has been prevalent throughout the years, most recently as the singer and songwriter for Aarhus, an electropop band. In addition to performing shows with Aarhus, I also perform solo acoustic sets around NYC. I've played in venues such as Knitting Factory Brooklyn, Rockwood Music Hall, Pianos, and the Middle East in Cambridge.
My love of performance began with my early classical training. I studied piano starting when I was five years old and performed in a recital each following year until I graduated from Fordham University in 2015. I also began viola studies when I was eight years old and was lucky to perform in various venues playing solo and in orchestras. I played in the Herricks High School Chamber Orchestra, which led to amazing opportunities such as a performance at the All Eastern conference and sharing the Avery Fisher Hall stage at Lincoln Center. I continued my love for chamber music at Fordham University and even continued to play with the group after I graduated.
Working at Lessonface is an amazing experience, both in learning and enjoying my day to day tasks. I love meeting new people and learning why educators chose their field. As many Lessonface teachers have discovered, it was a bit of an adjustment using video calls as my primary form of communication. It has allowed me to learn how to communicate using a form of technology that was once outside of my comfort zone.
In addition to working at Lessonface, I am studying for my Master's in School Counseling at LIU Brooklyn. I studied Psychology in my undergraduate work and am happy to continue learning how to help others.
