As an educator, Lihi believes that music has great importance in every aspect of life and the potential to make it better. Every student have the ability to learn, as humans are naturally musical - we all have a heart beat, a rhythm, music is in our bodies.

Lihi's musical education started with the Kibbutz Givat-Brenner Conservatory that led her to study in Israel's top high school “Thelma Yellin of the Performing Arts”. As a high school student, she received the America Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarship and the Tel-Aviv Conservatory Scholarship where she attended for three years. Her musical road continued by playing lead alto and arranging for the IDF orchestra as part of her mandatory army service. During her service she was chosen to represent Israel by performing as a soloist around the world, received the IDF Excellent Musician status, and attended on a scholarship the Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music. After her release from the Army she perused her Bachelor Degree on a full-tuition scholarship from Berklee College of Music, in the dual Major of Performance and Film Scoring. At Berklee College of Music, she was selected as a "Jazz Revelation Records” artist, awarded with the “Lawrence & Alma Berk Award” and Graduated for the honorary program "Global Jazz Institute” that made a huge impact on her artistry. After her graduation from Berklee College of Music, Lihi continued her studies in Boston, MA, graduated with a Master of Music degree at the New England Conservatory (NEC) in Jazz Performance. At NEC Lihi received the New England Conservatory Merit Award and the NEC Award, as we all as receiving the Entrepreneurial Musicianship Grant.

My teaching philosophy is based on the knowledge that excitement and interest will create natural learning. The curiosity that we all have inside and the joy of discovering something new is the key and the force that will guide us in the lessons. My first efforts as a teacher are to discover the student's musical passions, what does they want to play, what kind of music does they truly love and connect with. After that we will invest in learning the fundamentals of the instrument, we will study how to read music, develop a good sound and intonation, work with rhythm and ear training exercises and how elevate the whole musicianship level. Excellence and creativity are the values I keep close both as a teacher and as a player.

Lesson materials are varied and will depend on the student's level and musical interest. It may include transcriptions, PDF files, lead sheet and other sheet music, articulation exercises, mp3 tracks and more.
