I believe that music is a disciplined art form in which one cannot reach their full potential as a musician without proper lessons and practice.

My focus for lessons is developing in students a strong foundation in their tone, articulation, reading and musicality.

I take in beginning saxophonists and any oboists.

My lessons reflect what I believe to be a proper practice session in this exact order: [Scales, Etude, Solo Piece] Solo Piece can be replaced with ensemble music or anything else specific for the lesson. I have a strong belief that students should learn how to tune using a Drone rather than the basic needle point tuner.

Reviews of lessons with Shawn Garrone

Shawn was very pleasant to work with and he made me comfortable. Even though Shawn is young college student he is very knowledgeable in his field of music.
