About

I am originally from Seattle, Washington, but now live and teach in the suburbs outside of Denver, Colorado. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, and a minor in Education from Whitman College. After teaching at the middle school level for two years, I pursued my Masters degree in Spanish through Middlebury College, where I got to spend the year living, studying and working in Madrid, Spain. Since my return, I have taught all levels of Spanish to both native and non-native speakers of the language and have traveled extensively - often with students - to Mexico, Guatemala, Spain, Chile, Uruguay, and Cuba.

In the best possible way, I am a Spanish-teaching NERD - I love the language and love to find ways to help others love it, too! Spanish is a passion of mine, and one that I am always excited to share with others.

In addition to many years as a Spanish teacher, I am also certified as an ESL teacher, and love to help students "find their voice" in English as well as their native language.

Whether studying for the AP exam, trying to get conversational before a big trip, or just need help finding the strategies that will unlock the language for you, please let me help! I promise to make the process fun and functional, and will get you where you need to be en muy poco tiempo. ¡Vámonos!
