Hey, I'm glad you are here. 👋 I'm Lydia, an active freelancer, teacher, and clinician throughout central Iowa in the Midwest region of the U.S. Why study with me: I offer learner-centered individualized music instruction that supports you as both a musician and a whole person.

I approach music with a holistic mindset: with work ethic and discipline, yet also empathy and passion from the student's perspective. I see music as a tool to enhance the expression that already exists within the individual, while pinpointing necessary skills that still need to be developed.

I fell in love with music at a young age and have pursued it for most of my life. After starting piano at 8 and performing Acoustic Guitar at Irish Pubs by 14, I earned a Bachelor of Music: Commercial Music with a focus on Classical Voice and Classical Piano from Florida Atlantic University.

Piano has been my passion since starting private instruction at the age of 8. I have spent over 20 years sharing that passion with students of all ages and skill levels. Every student is a unique individual and I excel at getting to know each students needs and skills in order to create a lesson plan that focuses on you. Are you looking to start your young beginner? Winning my first composition prize with the Rockford Symphony Orchestra at the age of 11, I decided to fully devote myself to Classical piano. I received perfect scores on local music competitions every year from 6th through 12th grade (except 11th grade, where I didn't compete).

Hello! I'm so glad you have stopped by for a visit on my profile! :) My name is Lauren. I grew up singing alongside my guitar player Father. This expanded into continued study with voice teachers, involvement in choir, my own songwriting, and studying music in college. I graduated from Vanguard University of Southern California with a B.A. in Music, studying voice as my instrument.

Every student is a challenge for me. If it's a good student who has the desire and time to practice along with talent, it challenges me to switch on all the power of his nature and make him shine the shortest way possible. If a student doesn't have time to practice I always work on new exercises that could make a difference right away during a lesson.

Matt Macaulay is a professional Guitarist and Singer-Songwriter. He has been teaching music to students of all ages, privately and in groups, since 1997. After graduating from William Paterson University with a Bachelors Degree in Jazz Performance , Matt spent 10 years in New York City working as a freelance musician and operating the Macaulay Guitar Studio.
