WELCOME TO BECA‘S PIANO STUDIO! My name is Rebeca Torres, and I am thrilled to be your new teacher! Growing up near the Chicagoland area, I have been playing piano since I was seven years of age and have been playing for over 16 years.

Hi, I’m Taryna! Music has been part of my life since I was a child — I started playing guitar when I was 8 years old, and it quickly became one of my favorite ways to express creativity. As an adult, I finally reached a lifelong goal of learning piano as well, which gave me a deep understanding of what it feels like to learn a new instrument later in life.

I am a enthusiastic and energetic teacher with more than 20 years experience of sharing my love and knowledge of music and violin/viola playing with students of all ages. I come from the UK where I gained my BA degree in Music from the University of Southampton and a Postgraduate Diploma in Performance from Trinity College of Music, London.

I'm a trombonist by trade who has been playing for almost 20 years. Since graduating with a bachelor's degree in trombone performance from the University of Georgia, I've performed in numerous settings in several countries, including orchestras, jazz bands, and chamber ensembles. I'm also a studio/session musician, recording both remotely and in person.

I have loved music my entire life. Some of my earliest memories are of playing on my mom's piano. I started singing in choir when I was 5, started piano when I was 7 and started French Horn at 12. I haven't ever stopped. I became a music teacher and since 2005 have taught middle school band, general music and ukulele full time.

Brandi Brumfield is a double alumna of Southeastern Louisiana University and holds a Master’s degree in Music Performance. She is primarily a guitarist who specializes in classical and fingerstyle techniques.
