About
Aaron is an educator, oboist, ukulele player, and performer. Aaron graduated from University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a bachelors degree in instrumental music education. He taught middle school and high school band in North Carolina for the past 5 years, and has been teaching private lessons for 7 years. Aaron has experience teaching oboe, ukulele, marching band, and instrumental ensembles.
Aaron has been a performing member of Carolina Gold drum and bugle corps, Carolina Winds indoor wind ensemble, Yadkin County community ensemble, and Austin Civic Wind Ensemble.
Lessons with Aaron are productive, thorough, and FUN! Students can expect to receive instruction that is tailored to their individual needs and skills. Aaron's teaching philosophy is rooted in a strong emphasis music fundamentals while also allowing opportunities for student personalities to shine through. Aaron particularly enjoys helping beginning oboe players fine tune their tone. He can also help oboe students make and adjust their reeds. Ukulele students can expect a combination of learning their favorite songs mixed with relevant music theory, ukulele technique, and music history.
