Abigail Smith

I have been on a life journey that allowed me to travel across the country lecturing, performing music, and teaching therapeutic art. I enjoy discovering how different communities support each other and grow together through the arts.  I've been described as talented, funny, warm, loving and luminous. I truly love to teach children music. 

I began playing the violin at the age of 8 with a private instructor.  Violin opened doors for me, gave me wonderful friends, and terrific opportunities. I've played as a concert mistress in large Orchestras, Chamber Orchestras and even quartets. 

As a young child I had always noodled around on the family piano but didn't take private instruction until about the age of 12. Piano quickly became one of my favorite instruments. I have taught both piano and violin to beginners and intermediate students for over fifteen years.
