About

Adam is a Peabody-trained flutist and teacher dedicated to helping students develop not only technical proficiency, but a deep musical voice and artistic confidence.

With a background rooted in conservatory-level training and performance, Adam works with students of many levels — from developing beginners to advanced players preparing for auditions, competitions, youth orchestra placements, college applications, and conservatory study.

His teaching emphasizes:

  • tone development,
  • musical phrasing,
  • breath control,
  • technical fluency,
  • audition preparation,
  • orchestral repertoire,
  • and expressive interpretation.

Students often appreciate Adam’s calm, thoughtful, and highly individualized approach. Rather than relying on rigid formulas, he focuses on helping each student discover a natural and sustainable relationship with the instrument while building strong fundamentals and artistic maturity.

Drawing from years of intensive study and performance experience, Adam integrates classical technique with careful listening, body awareness, and musical intuition. Lessons are tailored to the goals and personality of each student, whether the focus is:

  • building confidence,
  • preparing for auditions,
  • improving musicianship,
  • overcoming technical obstacles,
  • or refining advanced repertoire.

Adam welcomes students interested in:

  • classical flute,
  • conservatory preparation,
  • NYSSMA and youth orchestra auditions,
  • tone and embouchure work,
  • practice strategy,
  • musical interpretation,
  • and long-term artistic development.

Lessons are available both online and in person depending on location and scheduling.
