About

I am a freelance musician residing in Teaneck, New Jersey. I have a Master's in Music and have been privately teaching french horn, trumpet, and bass guitar since 2013. I have played in several groups in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. I teach students of all ages and levels and helped prepare them for auditions including county and regional bands, after school ensembles, and colleges. I am also a member of and manage Parallel Brass, a brass quintet comprised of some of the greatest music performers and educators in the tri state area.

I have played in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Birdland, Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Lincoln Center, Kaufman Center, Symphony Space, and the International Horn Symposium. As a soloist I've performed at Carnegie Hall, Society of Musical Arts, and the Northeast Horn Workshop. My style of music includes classical, jazz, rock, blues, funk, and R&B.

I find great joy in performing and in teaching students of the instrument and offer lessons at affordable rates.

Teaching Style

Teaching is more than just developing young students as musicians; it's about helping them grow as a person too.  A skill such as playing an instrument, sport, or crafting requires time and effort in order to improve and master.  A student needs drive, discipline, and work through challenges with a guiding hand.  My teaching mantra is about putting in the work to get the results you want.  They can go as far as they want!

My lessons are specifically tailored to each of my student's needs and goals.  I have a large focus on technique and making sure things are done correctly.  Many young students unintentionally develop bad habits that can be difficult to break.  I work with them to make sure they are aware of factors that can enhance or hinder their playing such as breathing, support, embouchure, posture, etc.  Practice doesn't make perfect; perfect practice makes perfect!
