About
Hi! My name is Alex. I’m a professional singer and voice teacher with over a decade of performing experience including with the GRAMMY-winning Houston Chamber Choir. I have my Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from Carnegie Mellon University and additional degrees in Music Theatre and Music Theory. I’m classically trained, but my true passion is musical theatre and pop/rock.
Learning should be fun, and it's fun whenever you feel curious. That's my teaching style - you'll have a lot of fun getting curious about your voice, what it can do, what it can't (or shouldn't) do, and what the limits are. By developing a playful awareness of your voice, you'll gain the skills needed to make adjustments on the fly and have complete ownership of your artistry. After doing lessons for some time, you won't even need me anymore!

As a proud member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), you can be sure your lessons are up to date with the latest trends, techniques, and voice research in order to find the best ways to get you singing. Together we’ll build the courage and confidence you need to put yourself out there, to challenge yourself, and to try new things.
And, above all else, we’re going to have a LOT of fun doing it!
Since every voice is different and every singer has different needs and goals, each lesson is customized to you and where you are in your vocal development. That's the biggest perk of one-on-one lessons - it's all about YOU!!!
