About
I’m a touring and recording musician with years of real-world experience playing live, writing songs, recording in the studio, and developing my own sound as an artist. I have had a song I wrote featured on the hit tv series, Yellowstone. My background blends country, rock, Americana, singer-songwriter, and roots music, and I love helping students become more confident, expressive, and musical on guitar.
I work especially well with beginners and intermediate players who want to improve rhythm playing, chord changes, strumming, songwriting, lead guitar basics, and overall musical confidence. I can also help students who want to sing and play at the same time, write original songs, or better understand how to create parts that actually sound good in real music.
My goal is to make learning guitar feel inspiring, practical, and personal. Whether you want to learn your favorite songs, build a strong foundation, or find your own style as a player, I’ll help you take clear steps forward without making the process overwhelming.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is relaxed, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s goals. I believe people learn best when they feel comfortable, inspired, and not overwhelmed. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a more experienced player looking to improve, I focus on building confidence, solid fundamentals, and real musical growth. I break things down in a simple, easy-to-understand way and help students develop their own style while still learning the essential skills that make them stronger musicians. I want lessons to feel productive, enjoyable, and personal.
Curriculum
My teaching method is based on the individual student. We can focus on chords, rhythm, strumming, lead guitar, songwriting, ear training, learning songs, technique, improvisation, and overall musicianship. I like to combine fundamentals with songs and styles the student actually enjoys, so lessons stay engaging and practical. I can teach through a structured plan or a more flexible approach depending on the student’s personality and goals.
I do not require one specific method book for every student. Recommended materials may include chord charts, lyric sheets, scale diagrams, technique exercises, and recordings of songs we are studying. For beginners, I provide simple, easy-to-follow materials. For intermediate and advanced students, I can recommend more focused exercises and song-based study depending on the style they want to pursue.
If you want, I can also make these a little more professional, more country/roots flavored, or more beginner-friendly.
