A former communications professional living in the San Francisco Bay Area, Amy Snell has been teaching knitters joy and confidence in their craft for nearly 20 years. 

Amy loves to help knitters explore new techniques and expand the way they think about their knitting. Her goal is to make complex concepts approachable for all knitters, while sharing tips that improve your process whether you’ve been knitting for several weeks or several decades. 

Amy teaches virtually and in-person at national events such as Rhinebeck, Vogue Knitting Live, Stitches, and many regional shows and frequently presents for knitting guilds. Her patterns and articles have appeared in publications including Cast On and Knotions Magazines, The Sun and Fog Collection, Thicket, Electric Slide, and others. Amy shares tips and tricks on her blog at DeviousKnitter.com.

Amy's teaching style focuses on breaking down complex concepts into their fundamentals, then building from there. It's her belief that  It's her belief that if you can read and understand your stitches, you will have the confidence to fix errors and experiment on your own, finding more enjoyment and even pushing the boundaries of your craft.
