Andrei Ciugureanu
About
Hi! My name is Andrei, and singing has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I am originally from the Republic of Moldova, where my love for music began in my childhood. While my environment didn’t always support productive growth in singing, I remained determined to pursue my dream.
Over the years, I sought out knowledge from some of the most renowned mentors in the world of vocal performance, including the exceptional Chris Lipie. This invaluable training allowed me to refine my skills and deepen my understanding of vocal techniques, enabling me to develop both as a performer and as an educator.
In addition to my own growth as a singer, I am committed to helping others achieve their musical goals. I strive to be the mentor I wished I had when I was younger—a teacher who listens, understands, and provides clear guidance to unlock each student’s potential. My teaching philosophy is rooted in fostering confidence and personalized progress for every student, whether they are beginners or advanced performers aiming for excellence. I am excited to share my knowledge and help my students bring their musical aspirations to life!
Teaching Style
My teaching style is centered on adaptability and flexibility, offering students two distinct approaches to learning, tailored to their preferences and needs. Whether you prefer a structured, science-based method or a more exploratory and creative one, my goal is to create an engaging and effective learning environment that helps you unlock your full vocal potential.
The first approach is a strictly anatomical method. Here, we focus on understanding the mechanics of the human voice—how sound is produced, the role of different muscles, and how anatomy influences vocal tone and projection. By mastering this scientific foundation, students can build a powerful and controlled voice, supported by precise techniques rooted in physical awareness. This method is ideal for those who value structure and enjoy a step-by-step approach to vocal development.
The second approach is experimental and exploratory, designed to reduce pressure and encourage creativity. Through carefully crafted exercises and experiments with different sounds, students discover new possibilities within their voice. This process is both liberating and empowering, as it helps students overcome limitations and develop their unique sound in a natural and intuitive way.
For those who want the best of both worlds, I offer a combined approach, blending the anatomical and experimental methods. This allows us to leverage the strengths of each style, balancing scientific precision with creative exploration. No matter which approach you choose, I am committed to supporting your journey with patience, personalized guidance, and a deep passion for helping you achieve your vocal goals.
