Andrew Axenov

I a composer and performing guitarist whose music weaves together fingerstyle technique, live looping, live electronics, and improvisation into a sound that is entirely my own. Over the past 20 years, I have developed this approach through intensive private study - working with a series of dedicated teachers in guitar, composition, harmony, improvisation and solfeggio - and, most crucially, through thousands of hours on stage in front of audiences around the world.

My performing career has taken me to some of the most prestigious and discerning venues on the international circuit. In 2024 I performed multiple shows at Soho House Istanbul, played a solo tour across Saudi Arabia with Raw Escapes, performed series of concerts at Scorpios in Bodrum, Turkey, and performed at the Adelaide Fringe Festival in Australia as a part of international multi-disciplinary project "Most Human Post-Human". In 2025, I performed at Nomade, Azulik and the Nommo Festival in Tulum, Mexico. The same year I've produced an audio-visual performance at Planetarium #1 in St. Petersburg - the biggest planetarium in Europe. In 2025, I was selected as a finalist in the Natasha Guitars International Fingerstyle Guitar Competition, submitting four original compositions. Since 2023, I have been an official artist of Maestro Guitars, a boutique guitar brand based in Singapore. In 2022, I released my solo album "Hidden World Fairytales", which represents 18 years of work as a composer and arranger.

Alongside my performing life, I have spent the past 15 years teaching guitar students from all over the world - beginners finding their first chords and seasoned players looking to break through creative walls alike. For me, teaching is not separate from performing. It is the same process: listening carefully and making right actions at the right time - with a deep love for Sound and a commitment to serving Music in the best way possible.

I teach Freedom. You can endlessly learn new guitar techniques, play compositions and study music theory - and still never feel free in your musical expression. Freedom is clarity. It is relaxation. It is full confidence in your technique. It is seeing the fretboard clearly, without limitations or blind spots. It is trusting your ear - knowing which note wants to come next before you even play it. It is feeling rhythm pulse steadily in your veins. It is when the instrument no longer feels like an obstacle, but an extension of your thought. My work is built around that shift.

I create a relaxed and supportive atmosphere - a space where you can feel at ease, open up musically and grow with confidence. This is not about “learning songs.” It’s about learning how to be free.
