I'm Andy. Giving guitar lessons is one of my favorite things to do; I'm also a songwriter/ performer & have a bachelor's in music from the University of Rio Grande. I can help with theory or technique with beginning to intermediate students. I taught guitar, banjo, & bass for about 15 years at Hummingbird Music Center in Jackson, Ohio & have been giving lessons privately for about 8 years.
I enjoy teaching all kinds of learners. I think it's fun to find out which methods work best for each individual. I think it's very important for a teacher to know how to listen to students.

I usually ask that students make a list of songs hey are familiar with & would enjoy being able to play & look for opportunities to teach techniques through those pieces.
