Andy Rafiringa

French professional guitar player, singer, composer, producer based in New York City.
Andy Rafiringa has performed in Europe and the USA, studied at the American School of Modern Music in Paris and is a Berklee College Of music Alumnus.
Proficient in many genres (Jazz, Rock, Pop, Motown, Soul, RnB, Afrobeat and so on), Andy has been playing, performing, composing, collaborating for more than a decade.
In New York City, Andy is now teaching and performing as a guitar player for multiple projects from Hip hop to Jazz formations as well as working on his first album mixing all his musical influences such as Folk, Jazz, Electronic, Soul and rhythmic guitars from Madagascar.

I learned to adapt to every student I have. Musical backgrounds and inclinations are as numerous as individuals and I feel the key is to teach what a person likes while working on techniques to get them where they want. From learning notes and chords to learning songs and improvisation through listening and some theory (not too complicated be reassured!).
