About

Guitarist, songwriter/producer, and educator Angus Clark has built his career with a very full schedule of touring and musical collaboration, including being lead guitarist with the Platinum-selling Trans-Siberian Orchestra for the last 14 years.  He collaborated on 4 Grammy-nominated albums with New Age master Kitaro, and for the last 5 years has been subbing for both on-stage guitar chairs in the Broadway hit “Rock of Ages.” He has also played and or collaborated with Metal Church, Tibetan flautist Nawang Khechog, keyboardist Peter Kater, and members of Overkill, Queensryche, Yes, the Eagles, Bad Company, Queen, KMFDM, and Jethro Tull.  He has released two solo albums and is currently recording and performing with his band DareDevil Squadron.

Teaching Style

Angus has taught throughout his career, with TrueFire, National Guitar Workshop, and others, and is now offering private one-on-one lessons online via Lessonface.  His lessons have been featured in Guitar World magazine and other publications.  He is the author of the "Guitar Technique 3" text book for Musician's Institute in Hollywood, CA, and holds a Master's Degree in Music from NYU.

Students are given clear assignments to work on each week that cover specific fundamentals or performance studies.  Each lesson begins with a review of the assignments from the prior lesson, followed by the introduction of new assignments.  Then there is a brief open period where the student can have any specific interests or concerns addressed.
