I have a degree in Economics and I have tutored for the past 4-5 years both online and offline. I graduated in the top 5% of my class and was the best student in Statistics/Econometrics.For the past 4-5 years, I have tutored for some of the best-known companies in online tutoring and was and has been consistently ranked as one of the best tutors with them. I am well versed in Economics (microeconomics, macroeconomics, Econometrics), Finance, Introductory and Intermediate mathematics and Statistics. I am very good at what I do as my former and current students can attest.
My style of teaching is all about positive reinforcement. My years of teaching online have shown that most times, students do have an idea about how to tackle a question but are not sure if it is really the right way that they do have to tackle it. So my teaching style is all about first asking the student if he or she knows how to answer a problem. If the student does have an idea, I will have him or she gets started with the solution to really see if its the right way to tackle it. If it is the right way, I will take a step back and allow the student to continue only stepping in once in a while if he or she makes a mistake. But if the student does not have any idea, I will lead the way while repeatedly asking the student if what I am doing is making any sense. I do believe that students learn best when they are allowed or prodded to do the work rather than having the work done for them.
