I have many years of teaching experience, spanning all ages and several areas of study. I have a bachelor's degree in piano performance and experience as a music theory and aural skills tutor as well. I have been playing the piano for 23 years and the violin for 10. I love working with children, especially; helping them experience music for the first time is one of my favorite things! I also have experienced injuries related to music and work diligently with my students to avoid potential harm that could affect them later in life.

Every student has their own unique way of learning, so I don't teach any two students exactly the same. I believe music should be a fun and safe place to explore, and I strive to ensure that my lessons follow that belief. I incorporate music theory into the pieces we're working on, combining classical repertoire with pieces the student wants to learn. If you enjoy playing by ear but want to learn to read music, we can do that. If you already know how to read music and want to learn to play by ear, not a problem! We will start with a focus on your interests and in the process, I will identify areas that need improvement. Then we will work to strengthen those areas and make you a well-rounded musician.
