Antonio Mariano
About
I am currently based in Amsterdam, where I have had the opportunity to play in all kinds of projects: the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw, Zep and Friends, the Arin Keshishi project, and many other groups ranging from jazz to pop to classical music.
Before that I studied classical trumpet in Spain, while sometimes touring with a classical orchestra in Italy and playing various flamenco projects in my own region.
I have experience teaching private lessons to children, teenagers and adults, as well as workshops to larger groups, on topics like rhythms from South India.
Teaching Style
I like to find the most suitable learning style for each student; some prefer a more hands-on practical approach, while others like a more theoretical explanation before getting into it. I like to keep lessons dynamic and fun: even the most boring technical exercises can be done in a creative way that encourages the student to explore and get deeper into whatever they are learning.
