Teaching Style

Take classical guitar lessons with a seasoned, award-winning and professional classical guitarist! I am an active performer throughout the country as a soloist and member of the Pacific Guitar Ensemble alongside David Tanenbaum and Peppino D'Agostino. I graduated from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and hold bachelor's, master's, and professional studies diplomas. I am currently the classical guitar faculty at the top rated charter Oakland School for the Arts.

I welcome students at any age or skill level! I focus on classical guitar playing but can also provide lessons in other styles.

I am very passionate about music and take joy in teaching this art to kids and adults! I have been teaching classical guitar for over ten years and take great enthusiasm in it. I focus on proper technique, which will allow the guitarist to play relaxed and with ease, musicality, which is such an essential part of classical guitar music, as well as having a beautiful sound. I will provide you with a good approach to guitar playing, including exercises to strengthen your technique and ways to practice in order to build a solid playing foundation. Each and every student is unique and I do everything possible to tailor my lessons to that specific individual, taking in consideration their playing style as well as personality. I am patient, but I will also challenge my students to progress naturally.
