About

I am passionate about creating beautiful music. I've earned my Licentiate in Performance through the United Kingdom’s Royal School of Music and my Bachelor of Arts in Music with highest honors from Union University. Then, I graduated from the University of Michigan on a full tuition scholarship with my Master of Music in Harp Performance with highest honors.
I'm currently based in North Carolina where I perform and teach harp full-time. Most notably, I regularly play with the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra, the Piedmont Wind Symphony, and the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra. I also perform at weddings and events, which means I'm constantly expanding my repertoire.

My goal for each lesson is to equip students with the skills they need to confidently and joyfully play the harp. I welcome beginners of all ages and teach both lever and pedal harp. My background in piano, lever harp, and pedal harp means that I have multiple tools for teaching, which include the two prominent harp methods - French and Salzedo - as well as experience with ABRSM, the British music education system.
Each student is different, so each lesson plan is tailored to the individual. For example, some students have goals to improvise from chord charts, so I focus on ear training, theory, and exercises to build that skill. Other students have pursued Classical music competitions and auditions, so we dig into harp repertoire and etudes. In all lessons, healthy technique is the primary focus.
Harp is a magical instrument. I am obsessed with it, and I look forward to introducing you to its beauty and adaptability.
