About

I have been teaching guitar for over 15 years. I started teaching when I was in college, teaching my friends around the dorms. I grew up playing in bands as soon as I picked up the guitar.  That's why I love teaching.  I remember how good it felt to learn an instrument when I was a teenager.  I played in all types of bands when I was in high school ranging from Punk Rock, Ska, Heavy Metal, Reggae, Funk and Soul. I started studying jazz in my college years. I attended Ramapo College of New Jersey and graduated in 2007.

While there, I studied jazz improvisation and theory privately with Tony Cimorosi, Mack Brandon, and Andrew Light. I have been playing professionally since my early 20s, touring and playing music festivals all over the world.   I currently play with Boots Electric and Eagles of Death Metal and I resided in Hollywood, California.

I love teaching.  I found it to be one of the most rewarding things in my life.  I never forgot what it was like to be the student so I try my best to pay close attention to each individual students needs.  Its amazing when I see a student grow from a beginner to intermediate and eventually to advanced.  Plenty of my students have gone onto Berkley College of Music, and beyond.  Many of them have become professional musicians and achieving their own dreams.  I still consider myself a student and I am constantly practicing myself.  We will cover everything from fret board knowledge, basic to advanced theory, soloing approaches in all styles, we can learn advanced styles such as chicken picking, sweep arggregios, finger tapping, finger picking, claw hammer, alternate picking, scales, note reading, and many other topics.  Anything you want to learn, we can do it.

Sign up today and lets get to the next level of playing!

I'm very passionate about helping my students to grow as musicians, and am eager to pass along all of the tricks of the trade that I have come across in my travels. I am constantly trying to better myself, by learning new techniques and genres of music.  Music is a lifetime travel and the more we experience it the more we learn.   We will cover everything from repertoire, basic to advanced theory, soloing approaches in all styles, arpeggios and scales, fret board knowledge, sweep picking, finger picking/folk styles, Travis/chicken picking, cite reading and basically any topic the students would like to know. Sign up today and let’s get rocking!
