About

Hi everyone! It's me, Brian.

I love playing and teaching the guitar. I have been playing guitar for 7 years and am studying commercial music at Belmont University here in Nashville, TN. I love all styles, specifically classic rock, progressive rock, and jazz fusion. Some of my favorite guitar players include Allan Holdsworth, Michael Landau, Robben Ford, and Greg Koch, but I don't stray far from the likes of Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, and Jeff Beck.

I'm originally from Los Angeles and have been in Nashville for the last year-and-a-half. I am currently reprising my role from last summer as the lead guitarist of a country band called "Kickin' Country" that plays every day at Worlds of Fun Theme Park in Kansas City, Missouri, picking my way through songs by Jerry Reed, Brooks and Dunn, and Vince Gill. I've been playing guitar for over 7 years and would love to help you get started, or help you continue to learn to play.

When I'm not playing guitar (which is rare), I enjoy going to the gym, attending concerts, and writing my own music.

I like to focus on what the student wants to learn. Of course, there's nothing wrong with learning the basics like scales and chords, but it's hard to beat the pure passion for learning a new song that a lot of students have. That's how I learned from my teachers, and I truly believe in that process.
