Saxophone/Clarinet/Oboe-I can teach instrumental fundamentals for saxophone, clarinet, and oboe. When I teach younger students, I put a big focus on rhythm because having a good rhythmic feel is important, especially when developing at a young age.  When I teach beginners of any age, I try to have my students include some scales and one classical etude in their practice routine.

Jazz/Improvisation-Since my primary focus in my music career has been jazz or improvisation inclusive music, most students come to me for improvisation.  Regardless of my student's primary instrument I can help them find their own voice.  Also, I am aware that there are different approaches to learning improvisation, so whether you would like to learn from a theoretical point (chords and scales) or a more "free" approach where you simply listen and learn, I can help you!
