Burra Sriram

Burra Sriram, was initially under the tutelage of Late Sri. S.V. Ramana and he had the privilege of getting advanced training under Mridangam Vidwan Late Sri. MahadevuLakshmi Narayana Raju – a TOP grade artist with AIR. Sriram is a sought after artist with high repertoire and his deft fingering techniques. He is a direct “B-High” grade artist from All India Radio (AIR). A Post Graduate in IT and works in a Software company in Chennai. He completed his Diploma in Music (Mridangam) and Certificate in Carnatic(Vocal) from Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, Hyderabad.Achievements of Sriram include a) “ASTANA VIDWAN” of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam b) “Best Musician Award” for the year 1999-2000 fromGovernment of Andhra Pradesh, b) Prestigious Sruthilaya Kendra Natarajalaya KaraikudiR Mani Mridangam prize in 2000 by Kalasagaram, to name a few. Has won many prizesfrom various organizations

I have been Performing concerts over close to two decades.

Have been teaching many students across globe with Basic Level,Intermediate Level and advance courses in Mridangam percussion who have passed exams and are capable of performing short duration concerts.

I teach one-on-one which enables student focus and get inspired which in turn able to perform well.

Students will be encouraged to write exams in a practical mode with minimal theory. This helps students to involve more to the instrument . 

Assignments will be given to make them think out of box which is key to my teaching sucess
