About

Caroline Ramos is a horn player living in Orlando, Florida.  She is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a Bachelors in Horn Performance. She studied horn with Dr. Benjamin Lieser and has performed in masterclasses with highly regarded horn players like Johanna Yarborough (Detroit Symphony), Karl Pituch (Detroit Symphony), Carolyn Wahl (The Florida Orchestra) and Juan Berrios (Dallas Brass). In her time at UCF, Caroline has gained experience in all facets of classical music. She has performed with a variety of ensembles such as the UCF Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Woodwind Quintet, Brass Quintet, Horn Quartet and New Music Ensemble. She has gained valuable administrative and orchestra librarian experience through the UCF Symphony Orchestra and has done clerical work within the UCF Music Department. In addition to all of this, Caroline has interests in both musicology, nonprofit work, inclusivity in music and solfège.

In lessons, students will work on gaining an understanding of the fundamental aspects of brass playing: tone production, flexibility, articulation, phrasing and note accuracy. Students will spend time focusing on scale knowledge, etude study, solo literature for Solo & Ensemble, and warm up/practice routine development. Lessons are catered to the students needs and goals.
