Hi, my name is Cherry. I am an experienced educator with over 10 years of teaching experience in Thailand, specializing in Kindergarten and Elementary education. Since 2025, I have combined my love for education with my passion for music as a dedicated Flute Teacher.
My extensive background in the classroom has given me a deep understanding of how students learn, allowing me to tailor my music lessons to be engaging, patient, and effective. Whether you are a beginner picking up the flute for the first time or an elementary student looking to improve your skills, I am here to help you reach your musical goals!
Teaching Style
I aim to be a supportive mentor to my students. Because of my extensive experience in the classroom, I am skilled at identifying a student's unique learning style and adapting my methods to fit them. My goal is to make you feel confident and capable every time you pick up your flute, whether we are working on basic notes or preparing for a performance.
Curriculum
For Beginners: I focus on the "Headjoint First" method to ensure a beautiful sound is produced before adding the weight of the full instrument.
Visual Learning: Using my 10+ years of classroom experience, I use colorful charts and visual aids to help students memorize fingerings and read music notation quickly.
Recommended Texts: I often recommend the Rubank Elementary Method for Flute or Trevor Wye’s Beginner’s Book for the Flute, as they provide a logical and rewarding progression.
