About

Claire Rasa is a singer/songwriter, multi instrumentalist and audio engineer from Sydney, Australia. Claire’s love of music began at an early age. She started her musical journey at the age of just four with piano lessons and hasn’t stopped playing music since.

When Claire was an early teen she made a bold statement to her parents saying that she was going to be a singer/songwriter when she grows up. With this statement her parents bought her a guitar for her fourteenth birthday and that's when her love for writing songs was born. Staying true to the statement, when Claire was just seventeen years old she released her first EP and signed her first deal with an independent label. A year later Claire would find herself in Los Angeles recording at some of the worlds most respected recording studios and working with industry heavyweights.

While Claire was living the life of an artist she started to become more interested in studio work and with this she began a Bachelors Degree of Audio Engineering at world renowned SAE Creative Media Institute. It was during her degree that Claire found her calling as she noticed she loved helping to develop musicians and artists to be the best they can be when in recording sessions.

Recenlty, Claire founded her own music based company - 'Sound Me Out Music' where she herself teaches students but also has a rotation of tutors working under her company as well. Claire teaches both in person and online through LessonFace where she and her fellow tutors enjoy teaching students from all around the world.

Teaching Style

Following her passion in being creative and a having a strong drive for music Claire has developed extensive experience both in front of the mic as a performer herself, and behind the mic as a music producer and engineer. Claire uses her experiences in performing and producing to help guide you in becoming a better and more confident musician. Whether it’s wanting to be able to play and improve on reading sheet music when playing piano, learning to play those guitar chords to a song you’ve always wanted to learn, become more confident when singing in front of people, write songs or learn how to produce. Whatever it is, Claire makes it her goal to help her students achieve and to be the best they can be. Claire finds that her students love getting lessons from her because she is relatable, kind and encouraging. Claire aims to make her lessons fun and creates a unique lesson structure tailored to each individual student depending on their abilities and goals.
