i am a professional drummer and drum teacher with 30 years of experience teaching,i love teaching and trough all my lifetime journey with the drums i had exelent teachers that inspired me, so i try to give my best at every lesson i give.my goal is to be the best teacher i can ,and to help others to bring out the passion about drums with the appropiate technique , so they can break any limits they may encounter betwen what they want to do and what they can not.i teach students from all ages.and also can teach in spanish
i work on a once a week based lesson , in wich i give the material for the student to work on, wich covers a lot of different aspects of drumming:reading, technique,styles,performance,rudiments,and from that we expand on every topic that the student may be interested on learning.i use a lot of books :wilcoxon snare solos, joe porcaros method,steve hougton big band drumming,steve gadd up close, rick latham funk studies, david garibaldi future sounds, frank malabe and ed uribe afro cuban rhythms for drumset, duduka fonseka brazilian rhythms fro drumset, stick control,etc..
MUSICIANS INSTITUTE GRADUATED with honors, attended BERKLEE SUMMER SESSION IN ARGENTINA, took PRIVATE LESSONS AT DRUMMERS COLLECTIVE NEW YORK.Also worked as a private teacher ,and a s a local music schools teacher for drums.
i graduated from MUSICIANS INTITUTE , and also took lessons at the DRUMMERS COLLECTIVE , and SUMMER SESSIONS OF BERKLEE i have teached privately for the last 30 years,also worked as a teacher in local music schools MASTER MUSIC , and ITMC, and did clinics about drums all over the country representing a instrument brand company, i gave drum clinics on the local tv show MUSIC EXPERT,and also in music stores.besides recording and touring with different bands,and local and foreign artists.
