Cliff Tran

Cliff began his music career at the age of 9 with classical piano and was nominated for the prestigious Coronet Award for Music during his time in school. He specialized in trombone performance while attending music school in Southern California and played in numerous orchestras, ensembles, and jazz bands. After graduating from UC Irvine, he found success in numerous industries outside of music including as a real estate investor, software developer, IT consultant, and business owner.

Cliff focuses on electronic dance music production in San Francisco and currently studies under several accomplished local artists and producers. His mentors and teachers are affiliated with the Independent Distribution Collective, the Academy of Art in San Francisco, and the Pyramind Audio & Production Institute and have worked on various notable projects in gaming, film, television, and sound engineering. Cliff has performed live at various venues including at Disneyland, Disneyworld, the Anaheim Convention Center, the Irvine Barclay Theatre, Las Vegas, and the LA Coliseum.

In his free time, Cliff is either in his home studio drafting new tracks and collaborating with local artists or in the Pyramind Studios recording, mixing, and mastering.

I create a relaxing space, because after all, this is music and it should be fun.

While I will present the traditional approach to music, these are just guides and I encourage creativity and freedom of expression. I believe that thed goal of music is to learn to express emotion and to entertain. So we'll focus on these aspects in our time together.
