About
I’m a guitarist, online guitar instructor, and audio engineer with 20 years of playing experience and 5 years of teaching experience. I specialize in rock and metal guitar, but I work with students of all styles who want to become more confident, creative, and self-sufficient on the instrument.
My lessons are practical, personalized, and built around how you actually learn. Whether you’re picking up the guitar for the first time, trying to clean up your technique, learning your favourite riffs, improving rhythm and timing, writing your own music, or finally understanding scales and theory, I’ll help you build skills in a way that feels clear and enjoyable.
I focus on helping students connect technique with real music. That means we won’t just run exercises for the sake of it — we’ll use songs, riffs, chord progressions, improvisation, and creative challenges to help you understand the guitar and make progress you can actually hear.
I’m especially passionate about helping rock and metal players develop strong fundamentals, better picking technique, tighter rhythm, fretboard confidence, and a deeper understanding of how riffs, scales, chords, and solos work together. I also bring an audio engineering background, so I can help students with tone, recording, Reaper basics, guitar tracking, songwriting, and building a better home recording setup.
My teaching style is patient, relaxed, and supportive, but still focused on real progress. I want students to leave each lesson feeling more capable, more inspired, and more excited to pick up the guitar.
I have 4 years of experience as an individual and group instructor at School of Rock, where I help my student hone their skills for the stage. Not only do I instruct theory, but I provide guidance on stagecraft, taking care of your instrument, setting a great tone for the song or the part, and gaining confidence for live performances, recitals, and auditions. My main objective is to bring young musicians together as a team with the goals and work-ethic for success.
I am currently the sole member of End Ever, in which I write and record all of the instruments and vocals, as well as doing the mixing. I have been a part of bands such as The Elegance, Snakepit, and Wander - all bands that are unique and showcase the broad spectrum of music that I can help you with. I have been putting out music under various acts for more than 15 years.
While my current priority is the End Ever youtube channel where I write and record riffs and songs, as well as talk about music and the industry, I am also in the process of finishing the first full-length album for End Ever. I have been a part of many incredible recordings in the past - of which my most proud is the Return EP recorded with The Elegance in Kansas City, MO with Joshua Barber during his time at Covenant Studios. Josh heard our band and cut us a great deal when my band and I were only 1 years old. We recording in a studio with million dollars in equipment and building costs, and we recorded with a renound engineer known for working with acts like Norma Jean, Tech N9ne, Solace, Your Memorial, and many more.
Whether your goal is to play songs, write music, record your ideas, improve your technique, or simply enjoy learning guitar without pressure, I’d be happy to help you get there.
Teaching Style
Guitar is a unique instrument. There are so many different ways to organize and visualize the instrument that there is no single perfect way of doing things. I specialize in assisting you in finding the methods that most suit you as an individual.
We assess your goals, we determine your strengths, we uncover your weaknesses, and we create a clear plan with all the information for tackling it. You will feel confident in exploring the guitar and becoming the musician you always dreamed of becoming in no time.
I believe in teach you to fish. My philosophy is to be there for you as a guide, but to always enable you to start working things out for yourself when I am not around. You won't just be given a brief tour - I will hand you the keys to the whole kingdom so that you may explore as you wish!
Put it this way - I had zero musical theory under my belt and I still recorded albums internationally as a young man. I was passionate, and I worked my butt off - but I had no idea what I was doing! It took me as long time to finally become curious about music theory and really pushing myself to be a better musician through a deeper understanding of music as a whole.
I jump straight into the good stuff and strip away anything that might be confusing, unnecessary, or anything that is creating friction between you and your playing goals.
