About

I am a certified Special Educator and Shadow Teacher based in India, with nearly 11 years of hands-on experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and other developmental needs across early childhood, school-age, and teenage years.

My approach is rooted in patience, trust-building, and personalized learning. I believe every child learns differently, and my sessions are designed around each student’s unique strengths, pace, and goals — not a one-size-fits-all curriculum. I specialize in working with children from Grade 5 onwards, helping them build academic skills, social confidence, and independence in a safe and structured online environment.

Over the years I have worked closely with families, guiding not just the child but also empowering parents to better understand and support their child’s learning journey. My sessions combine evidence-based special education strategies with warmth, consistency, and real-world life skills.

Whether your child is on the autism spectrum, has attention challenges, or simply learns differently — I am here to help them grow, thrive, and believe in themselves.

Teaching Style

I have over 13 years of experience as a Special Educator, Shadow Teacher, and Tutor, supporting students with diverse learning needs across inclusive schools, virtual platforms, and home-based settings. My experience includes working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (verbal and non-verbal), ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Deletion Syndrome, Hyperthyroidism, and other developmental challenges.

Throughout my career, I have worked with students linked to institutions such as Zyra Learning, Podar International School, JBCN International School, Nahar International School, Hiranandani Foundation, Little Feet Playgroup & Nursery, Nanavati College, and Bombay Cambridge International School. My responsibilities have included developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), delivering one-on-one academic support, facilitating classroom inclusion, designing multisensory learning materials, and collaborating closely with parents, teachers, and therapists to ensure holistic student development.

I have also provided academic coaching in Mathematics, Hindi, and other school subjects following IGCSE, ICSE, SSC, HSC, and NCERT curricula while helping students build confidence, independence, and essential life skills.

My teaching style is student-centered, structured, and individualized, with the belief that every child learns differently and deserves an approach tailored to their unique strengths and challenges.

I use evidence-based strategies such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), visual schedules, task analysis, social stories, multisensory instruction, positive reinforcement, and adaptive teaching techniques to create engaging and supportive learning experiences. My lessons are designed to improve academic understanding while simultaneously developing communication, social, emotional, and independent living skills.

I focus on:

  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.

  • Breaking complex concepts into manageable, achievable steps.

  • Encouraging independence through gradual reduction of support.

  • Using visual and hands-on learning tools to improve engagement and retention.

  • Maintaining strong collaboration with parents, teachers, and therapists to ensure consistency between school, home, and therapy settings.

  • Celebrating each student's progress to build confidence, motivation, and lifelong learning skills.

This approach has enabled my students to make measurable improvements in academic performance, communication, behaviour, social interaction, and self-confidence while promoting meaningful inclusion in both classroom and home environments.

Curriculum

I keep my online sessions highly structured with predictable routines and clear transitions, as children with autism and ADHD thrive when they know exactly what to expect — even in a virtual setting. Sessions are kept focused and appropriately paced to maintain attention and reduce screen fatigue.

I ensure parents are looped in after every online session with progress updates and simple home strategies they can apply between lessons. This parent partnership is a core part of how I work online — because what happens off-screen matters just as much as what happens on it.
