About

I have 14 years of experience teaching violin. My students have won major International Violin Competitions,, and have performed at Carnegie Hall, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Royal Albert Hall, and Theatre de Champs de Lysee in Paris.

I believe anyone can learn to play the violin at any age, and my favorite part of my job is working with students of all different ages and levels, and helping them become confident artists. I take special care to provide an individually tailored curriculum for each student, and always make sure each lesson is fun, productive, and positive.

My teaching curriculum is tailored to the individual student's needs and interests. I make sure my students have a solid foundation to build on , and repertoire and pieces are selected carefully to help build technique, musicality, and artistry. I also incorporate lessons on the art of performing- including how to prepare for a performance or audition and the components of building a stage presence.

I instill confidence in each of my students to trust their ability, practice, and preparation when playing.

I demonstrate concepts and ideas by playing for the student, and also explain new concepts thoroughly through visual examples.

I teach my students how to practice effectively and efficiently by focusing on specific sections of a piece and helping them establish what the specific goal is of each practice session. It is the quality of practice that is more important than the quantity.
