About
I am a professional and experienced piano teacher enthusiastic about inspiring others to pursue their musical aspirations. I graduated from the Birmingham Royal Conservatoire and specialised in Piano Performance, and some of my teachers include the famous pianists Philip Martin and Katya Apekisheva. With over 18 years of teaching and performing, I know how to recognise and nurture talent.
As we all have unique taste, I cover all musical styles for a broad repertoire while tailoring my teaching style to your specific needs and goals. I believe in an exciting and dynamic relationship between the teacher and student is key – I easily get on with people from different cultures and ages, and know how to sustain the interests of my students in their lessons. In between our piano lessons, I offer robust support and encouragement so you stay motivated. I also cover all exam boards and grades including diplomas
My lessons are well paced and structured to cover music theory, music musicianship, aural, improvisation and composition – all effectively incorporated in tandem with your ambitions and abilities. Whether you are keen to learn to play just for enjoyment, are passionate about the piano, want to prepare for music college, prepare for auditions or competitions my lessons will give you all the tools you need to ensure your success.
