I believe that every student is different however, learning to play any instrument includes the same components i.e. Harmony. Theory, Dexterity, Chord Theory and concepts for improvisation. When anyone has those skills, they can play with anyone and any style of music.
I have a vast library of music texts and videos too numerous to list. After our initial lesson, where I can determine your abilities, I can then recommend a few texts that will assuredly increases your abilities.
