Santur Mastery: I provide instruction ranging from beginner-level techniques to advanced professional skills for playing the Santur. My repertoire covers a wide spectrum, encompassing both traditional and contemporary Iranian music, and even includes my original compositions. This diverse range of material allows students to explore various musical styles and develop a unique artistic voice.
Fundamentals of Improvisation: I emphasize the essential foundations of improvisation. Students not only learn how to perform existing pieces but also gain the skills and confidence to create their own musical expressions spontaneously. This fosters creativity and musical independence.
Ear Training: Ear training is a crucial aspect of becoming a proficient musician. I offer guidance in developing a keen musical ear, enabling students to better understand, appreciate, and respond to the nuances of music.
Music Theory: I provide a solid grounding in music theory, which is essential for any musician. Understanding the underlying principles of music enhances a student's ability to interpret and perform music accurately and expressively.
Absolute and Relative Solmisation (Solfège): Teaching both absolute and relative solmisation techniques, such as Solfège, helps students internalize musical intervals and pitch relationships. This skill enhances their ability to sight-read music, sing harmonies, and perform with precision.
