About

Hi! I am Denise Cavalletto. I am an italian singer, performer, director and music teacher now based in Sydney. I have experience in pop, rock, r&b, metal, jazz, gospel, musical and classical styles. I have a Conservatory certificate and years of experience as a performer and a teacher.

I studied in classical and musical academies with opera, pop, jazz and Estill Voice teachers. I studied also piano, music theory, solfeggio, dance (classical, modern, contemporary, jazz, musical style, hip hop), acting (theatrical, cinematographic, art comedy) and musical and classical music history.

I worked as a singer in weddings, hotels, private parties, pubs and restaurants performing plenty of styles with different musicians. I've been singing for 6 years in a Pink Floyd tribute band doing backing vocals and solo parts. I performed in musicals and classical concerts. I worked as an artistic director in a modern/musical style choir doing auditions, choreographies, vocal parts, training and concerts programmes. I am particularly proud of this project because it's a solidarity singing choir and we were making meetings in pubblic schools and then concerts against bullying, and seeing kids so happy and that important message spread so well is something really priceless.

I've been teaching for 6 years as a music and singing teacher in private schools and as a vocal coach in choirs, musicals and burlesque classes. I had students of all ages and styles and I used to teach in solo, couple and group classes.

I love my job and I do it with all my passion!

I work with beginner and experienced singers and I create a specific program for each student, based also on what you wanna learn and how much time you have to dedicate. I'm here to help you create a strong relationship with music and to make you feel comfortable with your voice and your body.

I believe that music helps people to develop a strong self-confidence and to experiment different feelings, different behaviors, different emotions. The voice is not like any other instrument, your voice is something personal, something different from others, is part of your personality and it has to be treated as something unique. So, also if you only want to know yourself better or develop your personality, a singing lesson could be pretty useful!

I focus on various areas of singing and music perception such as breathing, vocal emission and control, use of muscles, pronunciation, rhythm, pitch, harmonization and also on interpretation and stage presence. I can also teach music theory and solfeggio, and italian diction for opera singers.
