Teaching Style
I'm a Greek native speaker with 5 years of experience in teaching Greek language, culture and history. I teach students of all ages, both children and adults. I adjust the lesson according to my students needs and goals, supporting them until they achieve their maximum potential. Im specialized in teaching Greek as a second language for foreigners that either have Greek background or they are interested in learning Greek and gettinv acquainted with Greek culture and mentality. I have experience teaching online and in peddon, however due to the pandemic, online classes are generally easier for bothe the students and the teacher.
Curriculum
First of all I make an assessment of the students knowledge and background in order to understand their level motivation, goals and the timeframe that they would like to achieve them. I generally like to set strong foundations before moving on to more complex concepts. We begin by making sure that each unit is thoroughly understood and that we have practiced enough to be able to use what we have learned practically. If we need to address a certain topic in more detail we take the time to focus on the areas that the student need more attention. I provide all my students with all the resources necessary to achieve their maximum potential. I teach according to the Greek school curriculum when my students aim in taking language exams. This complies with the national learning materials that are taught at Greek schools from Year 1 to Year 12. When my students also want to immerse themselves to culture and history we also focus on literature, poetry, music and films. I also hold conversation classes for people that would like to improve their conversational skills in any level. Each class is specifically designed to match the needs and goals of the student attending it.
