About

My name is Ms. Diana and my goal is to make sure each of my students feel seen and heard!

I believe that music education goes way beyond the piano keyboard, and can impact a child's life in how they view themselves in a new confident light as well as the world!

I also believe that music study has the power to develop confidence, character and self-discipline. I truly enjoy what I do and as I plan I always make sure that I would have fun - knowing that this will transfer to each of my students as well.

Let's journey through music and life together!

Ms. Diana

Diana Cummings, a native of New York, received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Tampa with a concentration in Piano Studies under the direction of Piano Professor Emeritus, Dr. Judith Edberg, as well as International Concert Pianist Dr. Grigorios Zamparas.

Upon graduation, Diana lived in Tampa for three years where she managed her piano studio of 30 students, ages 5-17. She also taught music for preschool thru first grade at St. John's Episcopal Parish Day School. During her time in Tampa, Diana also served as an accompanist for solo and ensemble festivals with public schools throughout Hillsborough County.

She soon realized that she had a true passion for teaching children of all ages, but had a special place in her heart for the beginning student. She truly has a natural gift for working with children.

Diana later decided to move to Miami where she completed her Master of Music in Music Education at the University of Miami in December 2012. Since her move to Miami, she has continued teaching piano and working in the Miami-Dade Schools as a general music, piano, and AP Music Theory teacher for grades PreK-12 teaching.

She currently is the director and lead piano instructor of the Dynamic Piano Studio of which 500+ students have now completed her "Piano Adventures" courses online.
