     Dorian Mohar is a seasoned trumpet teacher and performer with over 20 years of experience. He has a BM in Music Education, MM in Trumpet Performance, worked 5 years as a Music Director and lead trumpet player on Carnival Cruise lines and has continued freelance trumpet lifestyle. He now teaches trumpet online and from his home studio in Cherry Hill, NJ. He is also the owner of Triplo Press, one of the world’s largest publishing companies of trumpet ensemble music. In addition, he runs trumpet clinics for schools, where he teaches students how to improve their sound, endurance, jazz skills, ensemble playing, and trumpet ensemble creation. Some of his former students have been accepted to prestigious music schools such as University of North Texas, Oberlin, and Ithaca.

Taught 20  piano students how to play as an accompanist by arranging solo pieces, rehearsing the children, and then hosting a concert with the piano studio's teacher, Barbara Mohar.

  • My role was to introduce a different instrument each week to each student to broaden their knowledge of musical instruments.

  • By the end of the summer, we presented a successful concert including a string ensemble, brass ensemble and other mixed ensembles.

2003 - North-Utica Senior Citizen Center

Elementary Summer School Program in Utica, NY

  • Initiated music program for the NUSCC and acted as Music Director for more than forty students. 

  • I prepared the students for the center’s first musical, “The Magic in Me”, by teaching them chorale and solo singing while accompanying them on piano.

2002 – Kids in America 9/11 Tour

Music Director, arranger, and trumpeter for 30-40 children ranging from elementary to high school.

  • The group toured for 2 weeks in Washington DC and New York City.
