My enthusiasm and confidence encourage learners to take this exciting journey of learning a new language, to expand their horizons and strive for greater personal achievements.
Like a dance instructor, I carefully lead and show the steps of the dance until my students are comfortable. Once they are, they take the lead, and I add support and structure to their moves. This way a controlled set of steps soon becomes a creative expression as learners use their knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and socio-cultural norms to communicate their thoughts and ideas.
I believe in a student-centered teaching environment that recognizes the uniqueness of each person; I am always aware of my students individual needs to make the instruction relevant and help them succeed in learning a second language.
Mastering a new language takes time, but each small step makes a big difference. I make learning goals structured and realistic. My ultimate goal is to develop autonomous learners, so their language learning experience becomes a lifelong one.
