About

I was born in Wales before emigrating to the USA in 2011. I am professional musician with over 30 years of teaching experience in a variety of areas. 'Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything'. (Plato) Between 2012-18, I taught piano, theory and composition at two music schools in San Francisco, California: Amabile School of Music as well as Northern California Music and Culture Center. Over many decades, I have been involved in a variety of productions; either as pianist, in a pit-band or as Musical Director, such as Godspell, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Little Shop of Horrors, Fame, Footloose, Guys and Dolls, Oliver!, Sweeney Todd, Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Threepenny Opera, The Wizard of Oz,Beauty and the Beast and West Side Story.

I have taught students of all levels, ages (including an 80 year old 'from scratch') and abilities (including special needs).

QUALIFICATIONS
I have the following music degrees from the University of Wales: B.Mus, M.Mus and Ph.D.
I also studied at the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, Maryland, specializing in composition, conducting and electronic music.
