About

Dylan is a bass player with a lot of experience as a sideman and bandleader in the New York area rock and indie scene. He has toured and freelanced with several New York based groups and works consistently with  the critically acclaimed Castaway Productions Theater Company.

In addition to his work as a sideman, Dylan is well known for his ability to play complex chordal structures while singing. This has blossomed into his own New York based and touring trio which goes by the moniker Wreath. Wreath songs are highlighted by Dylan's unique way of exploring the bass as a songwriter and composer and his songwriting and playing have garnered acclaim from bass greats such as Victor Wooten and Anthony Wellington. Dylan very proudly endorses Michael Tobias Design Basses and Genzler Amplification products.

Originally from High Falls NY, Dylan studied at the Conservatory of Music at Purchase College and now resides in Brooklyn, NY. The first full length Wreath record is due out this coming year.

My teaching style focuses on finding what drives the student to start playing music. Whether it be for fun, serious commitment, a job or what have you i think it's important for a teacher to cater a lesson to each student differently as each one has needs and learns in alternative ways.  I usually focus on rudiments and basics on bass guitar and then dive into some songs and structure related teaching. The Importance of 1,4,5 and general ability to recognize progressions will have some focus while getting a strong and consistent tone will also be a big part of what i emphasize.

Endorsed artist with Michael Tobias Design Basses and Genzler amplification products.

2018 International Solo Bass Competition Champion.

Bachelors degree from SUNY Purchase where i studied at The Conservatory of Music
